Who is your primary healthcare practitioner?

I am currently a Chiropractic masters student and I find my studies extremely fascinating. Our bodies are amazing! What has been truly fascinating to me, while observing within various chiropractic clinics, is the way that patients view their chiropractors.
What is chiropractic?
A chiropractor is a healthcare professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.
Whilst observing I spent a lot of time, speaking to patients regarding how they saw their chiropractor and the reasons they visited them. You might be surprised to read that back pain made up about 1% of the reasons patients visited their chiropractor.
Now do not get me wrong, pain in general was still the number one reason from a pesky migraine or the ‘I woke up with a ‘crick’ in my neck.’ Chiropractic patients reported after digging around in their medicine cabinets for pain killers, their chiropractor was the next point of call. Interesting right?
What I found even more interesting although not surprising having worked in a leading ABC office for so many years was the number of patients who visited their practitioners because they wanted their bodies to function at optimum levels. If they were training for a marathon, a boxing fight or looking for postural correction in time for their wedding. ABC specialists appear to be a one stop shop for optimising health.
There are many methods and techniques within chiropractic, here at Spirohealth we specialise in posture correction and our patients have had some amazing results.
Do you think you could be a part of our tribe?
Did the information I gathered surprise you?
ABC adjustments are a bit like Pringles, once you pop you can’t stop. Feeling good becomes addictive.
