Bianca’s immune system boosting tips

So as some of you may know I have had a week off work sick. My immune system was very low. I would like to share with you my top tips on how to speed up your recovery from flu but the truth is I feel all my efforts both to maintain a healthy immune system all year round and to help my self recover quickly didn’t make a blind bit of difference to me. I was really been knocked out by an opportunistic flu/laryngitis virus and lost my voice for a week. I was told just to wait it out.

In all the time I have been a Chiropractor I have only had 2 days off sick, both for food poisoning on separate occasions. I have always thought that if you look after your immune system then you won’t get sick. Of course life happens and there are times that we feel rundown for various reasons, but on this occasion I wasn’t.

All my best efforts to speed up my recovery including taking anti-inflammatory’s didn’t seem to do anything. It has been really hard for me to do nothing and let my body heal. What I have learnt from this is that when you have a virus its important to give your body time to rest and heal. The body’s innate intelligence will do the rest if you fuel it right with the following tips.
