Saeed Akhtar, Osteopath, D.O, N.D, BSc (Hons) Ost
Throughout his career, Saeed has acquired a wealth of qualifications, including a Master Herbalist Diploma in 1983, a D.O qualification in Osteopathy, and an N.D qualification in Naturopathic Medicine in 1992. His commitment to advancing his expertise led him to undertake postgraduate studies with the Sutherland Cranial College, culminating in a role at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in 1996.
In 2013, Saeed’s interest in treating Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders was reignited when he established and managed his dental clinic. This experience provided invaluable insight into the condition, motivating him to deepen his knowledge through further research and postgraduate studies, including a TMJ diploma course.
Saeed adopts an eclectic approach to osteopathy, customizing his techniques to meet the specific needs of each patient. His skill set encompasses both traditional and modern osteopathic techniques, complemented by modalities such as Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation, Functional Taping, and Myofascial Cupping.
